originally a hingan culinary school,
the owners came together and decided the real test would be Experience.
as such, nikomu was born.
a place where cooks aspire to become chefs. a place where knowledge is exchanged.
a place where we see who can stand the heat of our kitchens.all fresh ingredients are gathered by allied gatherers across multiple companies & trusted groups. everything is prepared in-house (minus some ingredients that must be frozen and/or rested to ensure quality). all fish are caught, cleaned, and fileted the day of to ensure flavors kept well.
nikomu seeks to provide its guests with an unforgettable and fiery experience from beginning to end. whether you're coming in for a couple rolls of sushi, enjoying some shabu shabu, or indulging in the flames of our hibachi grill. we assure you that the food & drinks alone will have you coming back again & again!nikomu is an experimental space in which our cooking staff might just do the unexpected...what is hot pot? you pick the soup base, the ingredients, & cook away at your own table by yourself or with friends in an all-you-can-eat style! *some exclusions apply.what is hibachi? an open face grill with nothing held back. flames that lick towards the ceiling, onion volcanos, and even a few tricks from our master chef. brave enough to catch a bite or two mid-air? show off for your friends or a date? look no further. *reservation only / chef's choicewhat else is there? every so often, nikomu will offer cooking classes that are first come, first serve.
these can range from simple to ★complex dishes.

hosts
position has been filled
you're the first face people see when they enter. you're the one that checks in on the staff & makes sure there's not one server taking on too many tables. if there's a question & the manager is busy, then you've got the answers...we hope.
general info
• nikomu is open the first saturday of every month from 9pm est to 12 am est.
• open & honest communication.
we are not mind readers, we cannot know what we do not know. we don't need the details, but we do need to know if you cannot make it.
• attendance is important, but always remember irl > ig always.
if you aren't here, then you don't get paid. it's just how it goes.
• this is meant to be a playfully ic competitive place. it's great for characters who want to become professional chefs or hone their skills.
• please be flexible & read the room. if you notice that it's getting a bit busy, then you might not be able to continue that ic conversation if there are orders that need attention.
• most important thing is to have fun.
pay
•1.5 million gil a shift (500k an hour) + you get to keep all of your tips.
uniform
• this is to be determined once we have full staff & the space is ready to work in.
• if your character has cul leveled, then that's a HUGE bonus, but it is not required by any means.
• **please note we will never require you to have mogstation items as a part of the uniform.
ic responsibilities
• greeting guests at the door.
• seating guests & assigning them servers.
• informing guests about any possible wait times or checking-in reservations.
• keep an eye on those coming & going from the venue.
• back up server / bouncer (don't be afraid to get stern or throw hands.)
ooc responsibilities
• you help keep an eye on nikomu alongside the manager. we want this to be a fun & safe space.
• you're also a flex for the hosts & servers mainly (unless your character is skilled in cooking, then by all means...do what you have to.)
• you are a point of contact between customers & creuset! admins if it's for minor issues. you are someone that reports on any incidents oocly that lead to any staff or patron discomfort to the manager or creuset! admins.
• do not be afraid to ask people to leave if they are being disruptive or harmful to the space & those inside it. (make sure to communicate this to the manager.)
• have fun! no stress! this is just rp which should stay a hobby.
• your character is allowed to make mistakes, be sassy, or be a pushover. write organically.
• prioritize yourself over rp always. your real life, your mental health, & your enjoyment take precedence always. be kind to yourself.
• expect things to become chaotic, if you find it's busy and you can't write a detailed post quick enough, then shorten it, or gloss over it. you are not genuinely required to write something fantastical every time. even just one line works at times!

you are the one in charge of the shift. you're the leader & the one people go to with questions, comments, or concerns. you're also there to help out when things are short-handed. pretty as you are, you don't get to just stand there.

• double check on staff to ensure they are alright with their workloads.
